Meet Faye Howell

About Me

Hello, I'm Faye Howell, the founder of Howell Family Court Support.

I currently work within Children's Services, where I have many years of experience supporting children, families and vulnerable individuals through challenging and often emotional situations. Before this, I worked as a Community Support Officer with Thames Valley Police, developing strong communication, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.

Alongside my professional career, I have personally navigated complex Financial Remedy proceedings within the Family Court as a litigant in person. This experience has given me a practical understanding of the court process, including financial disclosure, Form E preparation, court documentation, settlement negotiations, Financial Dispute Resolution (FDR) hearings and preparation for a Final Hearing.

Having experienced the Family Court process myself, I understand how overwhelming, confusing and stressful it can feel. I know how important it is to have someone who will listen, help you stay organised and provide calm, practical support throughout your case.

My aim is to help clients feel informed, prepared and confident by offering clear guidance, practical assistance and compassionate support every step of the way. I have completed specialist McKenzie Friend training and understand the role, responsibilities and boundaries of providing practical support to litigants in person within the Family Court.

I hold a recognised NNEB Diploma, providing a strong foundation in child development, communication and supporting children and families.

✔ Level 3 Safeguarding Trained

I have completed Level 3 Safeguarding training and understand the importance of protecting children and vulnerable adults while recognising safeguarding concerns appropriately.

I have completed Reducing Parental Conflict training, giving me an understanding of the impact that ongoing conflict can have on children and families and the importance of maintaining a child-focused approach.
